Sometimes we think we are in one place for a certain reason. Tonight, I had the opportunity to be at Texas Roadhouse as they hosted a fundraising dinner for Impact Services. We had a table set up outside the front door sharing information about the services we provide. I had the chance to talk with many supporters and volunteers throughout the evening. All in all a great night.

The best part of the evening happened as I was packing everything up. A woman pulled up and jump out of her truck and said, “What’s Impact Services?”

I had the opportunity to share about our services. When I mentioned our dementia services, she stopped me and told me she had dementia. She had just been diagnosed. I was able to share with her our Voices of Impact choir and some other services in the area.

While we may raise a lot of money from this event. That interaction with this woman was worth more than anything else tonight.
