“I am excited to be a part of Impact Services Board where I can share my talents to help raise funds and support their needed programs in our community not only for meals but understanding the aging process thru educating both parent and child and the need for creating a memory issues-friendly community.   I was drawn to Impact Services thru Meals on Wheels because it aligns with my core beliefs of healthy eating and independence.  Meals on wheels allows both by delivering healthy nutritious meals, tailored as needed to accommodate dietary needs, to their home allowing them to live independent in their community for as long as they are able, not to mention the quick check in and chat as I have made a lot of friends on each route.  If you haven’t had a chance to be a driver, I encourage you to do so, it will be a day brightener!”

“As a caregiver for aging parents who wish to remain in their own home, I am drawn to the mission and vision of Impact Services. After volunteering as a driver for a few years, my family became increasingly involved in helping support this great non-profit. Today, I am delighted to serve on the board of directors as a way to give back to the community and keep the support of seniors top of mind!”

“The Meals on Wheels program has been important to my family for many years, going back to when my Great Grandmother was a client. I am honored to serve in any way that I can in the next chapter in the life cycle of the organization.”

“I’ve chosen to work with seniors for the last half of my insurance career so volunteering for Impact Services fits right in. I think of my late mother and how being involved with an organization like this would have been beneficial for her. It’s not just a meal or services the seniors get from Impact Services, the volunteers are also a touchpoint for the senior clients, who don’t get visitors as often as they’d like. I feel good about contributing to the community in a way that I know is of value to the clients we serve.”

“I grew up in the Blaine area and have volunteered with youth up until this point.  As my own life has progressed, I have become exposed to the needs of the senior community and I am excited to have the opportunity to help.  Right now, the programs of Impact Services are proving more vital than ever with assisting and building our community and I look forward to the continued growth of the Meals on Wheels, Aging Services and Voices of Impact.”

Employee Benefits Advisor

I’m a 3rd Generation Employee Benefits Advisor with Cleveland Benefit Partners; a firm that my grandfather and uncle started in 1988. We help businesses of all sizes implement and run their employee benefits programs.

I live in Brooklyn Park with my wife Jen, and 9-year-old son Henry, and we have 2 adult boys that have since moved out. We are into the outdoors – hiking, camping, snowshoeing and we also participate in endurance events. Jen and I have completed 5K’s all the up to 50K’s and have done about 20 Tough Mudder events including 12hr and 24hr races.

I’m excited to get involved with Impact Services because as complete as my life is, I’ve been missing the volunteer part and I think this is a great opportunity to fit that piece into my life.

Darin Ellestad

Owner

There are many really terrific organizations we can choose to support, but few can match the real, immediate, and measurable impact in the community as Impact Services. A great way to actually see and feel the Impact Services difference is to volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels just once. You’ll see and feel the difference you’ve made to the folks receiving the meals at every door.

I consider myself fortunate to have been introduced to Impact Services long ago. Over the years, our family and business associates have been involved in delivering Meals on Wheels as well as sponsoring events such as Golf Fore an Impact and Dessert First. We’re honored to be involved with this great organization.
